STARKVILLE, Miss. — Registration is underway for Mississippi State University’s 2012 Winter Baseball Camp, five instruction-filled sessions on the MSU campus scheduled over the final three weekends of January.
The 2012 camps open with a pair of sessions designed for high school age athletes (grades 9-12), a Pitcher/Catcher/Infield Camp Saturday, January 14, and a Hitting Camp on Sunday, January 15. The youth camps (grades 1-8) feature an All Skills Camp Saturday, January 21 and a Hitting Camp Sunday, January 22.
The popular Father-Son Camp (grades 1-6) is an overnight camp set January 28-29, with participants “camping in” at the Palmeiro Center, the spacious climate-controlled indoor training center for the Mississippi State baseball team. The Bulldogs posted a 38-25 record in 2011, advancing to a NCAA Super Regional championship game and finishing the season with a No. 15 national ranking.
The camps are conducted at the Palmeiro Center and Dudy Noble Field, the home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, with instruction provided by members of the MSU coaching staff.
Camp check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Palmeiro Center for each daily session of the high school and youth camps and at 4 p.m. for the Father-Son Camp. Special tuition rates apply for those attending both sessions of the High School or the Youth camps as well as the Father-Son Camp.
Signed parent’s and physician’s release statements are required.
